We love creating opportunities for local people to develop their skills, wellbeing, confidence and experience so they can progress towards their goals.
- We run short practical courses in furniture and upcycling crafts that are open to everyone 19+ as part of the local Community Learning partnership. Read more
- Our L-earn project gives young adults who aren’t currently in education or employment a chance to get a part-time paid job at HFS for 6 months to build their skills, confidence and experience. Read more
- HFS supports volunteers to make a great contribution to our community as part of the HFS team while moving towards personal development goals. Read more
- We also work with local Refuges so that women who have experienced domestic violence and abuse can attend practical DIY and craft sessions within the safe Refuge environment. These sessions are not open to the public.
