George lost his job after he had a stroke, he couldn’t stand or grip things to work. Then my work closed down and we couldn’t pay our rent. We ended up sleeping in our car. Eventually George went to the CAB and they found us some help to get a flat and a small grant towards furniture.
We were so pleased with the service at HFS, and the amount of furniture we could afford with the grant. They were really understanding and kind, delivering everything right to the rooms where we needed it.
Starting again at our age is quite daunting but I have a new job now and George has had physiotherapy to get him walking again.
