- [Arts & Crafts style priest’s chair ideal for an entrance hall](https://hfs.org.uk/product/arts-crafts-style-priests-chair-ideal-for-an-entrance-hall/): This heavy solid oak chair would make an ideal seat for an entrance hall as a place to sit and put on shoes, with a useful space under the seat to store shoes. It resembles a church pew but seats one person, and it would originally have been a simple chair for a priest, church warden or choir clerk within the church sanctuary.  It has solid sides and a high back with a narrow shelf at the top, plus a pocket shelf at the rear designed to hold hymnals and prayer books. In the Arts and Crafts style with gothic cut-out details at the base of the sides and a quatrefoil cut-out in the backrest, it is likely to be from the Victorian/Edwardian era. This Edwardian style Chest of drawers has 3 suitably spacious drawers for clothing etc with a further two small vanity drawers sitting either side of a tilting mirror. The piece is in a warm tone honey coloured satin pine, with small, carved details around the mirror, bevelled edges and aged brass handles. Dimensions: H 150cm with mirror – H83cm Top of Chest – W92cm – D48cm. There are signs of age and use to the piece, which is noticeable in some of the beading missing, further details in the condition report. Drawers would benefit from the use of drawer liners due to age and wear in the wood to avoid snags. Atop sits a freestanding pivoting mirror in the same wood finish. The piece has been cleaned down, the sides had some of the finish peeling so this has been scrapped back and then wire wool waxed and buffed. The design has been softened with a delicate floral decoupage on the foot board. The main frame is in a classic black with brass details and in very good condition for its age, a few marks / scrapes as pictured. Will polish up well. Both the headboard and footboard have wheels to easily manoeuvre the bed. There are also slats that have been added to the bed for the mattress, these do not appear original, but perfectly functionable and fits a standard double mattress. Crafted in a real wood teak veneer it has a warm tone, enhanced by the aged brass-coloured handles. The perfect bureau for small spaces, even for your hallway as a multifunction catch all unit for keys, letters etc. It has the top bureau compartment, with original key and working lock, also with good side drop down table, under is a small drawer, and below a cupboard where the depth increases for storage. Condition: Overall, for its age, the bureau is in good condition, some wear suited to its age is visible. The top has had minor treatment of a wire wool buff with beeswax to improve water ring marks, faded but still visible, there is a worn dent to the front edge of the bureau, wear to the veneer at the base and tarnishing to the handles. Practical in design with its drop leaves, they open to form an oval top in a rich warm toned mahogany enhanced in the grain. It has four tapering legs into pad feet, two of which are gate legs opening out to support the drop leaves, but practically as no extra legs cramping seating space. Comfortable the table seats 4-6. Dimensions: Leaves down W48, up W144cm – L129cm – H72cm. Condition: This is a vintage piece that’s shows signs of wear to the veneer suited to its age. There are scuffs to the surface. One gate leg joint shows signs of damage, the carved wood the dowl passes through, one section has been split but is still encased in its bound metal, this does however give movement to the dowl so the leg opens with a wobble, however, still fully supports the open leaf. One section of the central top, over a fixed leg has come loose, again this effects in movement as requires lifting from frame not to damage further but does not affect the table structurally when in use. Dimensions: H124.5 with riser, 121.5 without – W92cm – D38.5cm – Shelves set gaps H31.5cm x2 – 32.5cm - Floor to Bottom H21cm. Condition: This is a vintage piece that’s shows signs to the veneer of use suited to its age. There are scuffs and indented scratches to the veneer, appears to have been on an uneven surface for a while as the left door is slightly out of a line and does not lock, the right catches on the base as you close. - [Pair of Antique Bar Backed Regency Mahogany Dining Chairs](https://hfs.org.uk/product/pair-of-antique-bar-backed-regency-mahogany-dining-chairs/): A very classic, elegant design of chair and a lovely pair for that small kitchen nook for your morning coffee. They are a rich Mahogany and the grain in the back bar along with the turned legs, front carvings and velvet seat pads elevate them. Dimensions: Back H89cm, Seat H47cm – W47cm – Leg D 49.5cm, Seat D41cm. Condition: For their age I believe they are in good condition, the wooden/Mahogany frame is sturdy, there are some areas of polished scuffs and dents to legs and back bar, but not unsightly damage. Jeffcoats &Co Pine Metal bound Zinc Lined Steamer Trunk](https://hfs.org.uk/product/w-h-jeffcoats-co-pine-metal-bound-zinc-lined-steamer-trunk/): This is most likely an air and watertight steamer trunk due to the tin or zinc lined interior of the trunk. It is a solid piece of construction still; in keeping with its age and use of the years there is tarnish to the metal handles, and the lock no longer has its key, however the lining is still in great condition. Made from Pine, stained and bound in metal, it had a reinforced base with wooden runner bars/feet. The metal bounding on the exterior shows the most age and may need work done to make sure it is safe with no sharp metal edges. But this piece could make a statement focal point to a room as coffee table and storage. Due to the branding panel inside and the address denoting Bayswater W2, this time stamps the trunk from around 1917 after the postal service split London West into 2 areas. Dimensions: H 38cm - W 93cm - D 49cm. Condition: The piece does have age-related wear in keeping with its use over the years, this is mainly in the metal parts, handles and metal bound edges where the metal has come away from the wood and the edges can be sharp in areas and would need some attention. - [Art Deco English Burr Walnut Vono Bedstead Frame Queen Anne](https://hfs.org.uk/product/art-deco-english-burr-walnut-vono-bedstead-frame-queen-anne/): This is a beautifully designed and constructed 1930's single bed by the renowned UK made brand VONO. The headboard stands tall at 151cm in height, the design is not overly carved or ornate but instead lets the Burr Walnut be the focus and as an elegant shape to the design. It then has the Queen Ann legs as the footer design, all of which is constructed around the Steels London metal work. The bed frame has a second set of steel legs on wheels for easy moving; however, these do appear they could be removed, it also has a separate metal framework with the springs which is being sold with however is optional in the sale. Dimensions: Height 151cm - Width 91.5cm - Length 206cm. Condition: The piece does have some age-related wear to the walnut finish, this is on the footer trim and a small area of the headboard. The piece then stands on bobbin turned legs, further carved details and a setback stretcher. We believe the piece to be from the Edwardian era, possibly leading into the Arts & Crafts period. Condition: As to be expected with its age there is wear to the piece, the top surface is worn with the ebony finish patchy, there are scuffs to the drawer housings, this is only visible when the drawer closed to far, so a small stopper at the back could resolve this. Manufactured by G-Plan of Great Britain, designed as part of the popular 'Fresco' range, this model is harder to come by than the floating design as fewer numbers made. The attention to detail from this range is clear in the carved wooden handles, rounded edges, curved legs with cross bar support and triple moveable mirror. Condition: We’ve undertaken an amateur restoration on the main tabletop due to watermarks in the surface. The tabletop has been sanded, Osmo top oiled and finished with furniture wax. It has the visible framework with a curved cane back and added detail in the small wings design. Curved armrests add the elegance with a very comfortable seat. The upholstery may not be original as an old master and guilds sticker is on the underside. The chair is still very solid, has a lovely patina to the wood and cane and if desired could be reupholstered to your fabric choice. Condition: In keeping with its age and use over the years there is visible patina to the cane back and arms of the chair, there are also stains to the back of the upholstery, probably from wood varnish. - [G Plan wall unit with glazed cupboard and drawers](https://hfs.org.uk/product/g-plan-wall-unit-with-glazed-cupboard-and-drawers/): This mid-century G Plan wall unit is made from teak and teak veneer.  It is in two sections that can be separated, but they are secured together by two metal l-shaped brackets. The top section has a wooden shelf and a glazed display cupboard with an interior glass shelf; it has previously had lighting installed, but this has been disconnected. It has three drawers in the base unit, and the bottom drawer has the G Plan label still in place. In reasonably good condition for its age, this useful wall unit has some scratches to the base unit surface and a small piece of chipped veneer at the bottom of the top section. there is also some scuffing to the base of the top section's rear upright panel, perhaps from it being stood on the floor on its own. There is a larger cupboard to the left featuring a small front facing hanging rail, the inside of the door is fitted with a practical mirror for everyday convenience with a tie rack below. On the right side we have two drawers for smaller items and accessories, Below this a pull-down door with a single shelf compartment, handy for quick grab items like aftershave etc. At the bottom, a further cupboard section provides ideal storage for shoes or larger household items. The piece is crafted from quality teak, with a warm tone to the grain throughout, complemented by clean lines and minimalist styling typical of the mid-century era and Remploy’s designs. - [Vintage Glazed Walnut Veneer Display Cabinet](https://hfs.org.uk/product/vintage-glazed-walnut-veneer-display-cabinet/): A beautiful display cabinet we believe in original condition. The walnut veneer has a bright tone with plenty of detail to the grain of the veneer which is in good overall condition but as the pictures show there are some light marks, mainly to the legs. There are added details that nod to rococo carvings on the Queen Ann legs and beading between the glass panels. The internal shelves are in good condition, but could possibly have been replaced, there are some small sections of wear where they rest against the metal shelf brackets and the textured material in the back and base is, in my opinion original, a good neutral against the walnut. Condition:  As with any vintage piece it does show signs of its age, scuffs to the surface and small areas of the legs, there is discolouration/stains to the original material. - [Vintage Painted Oak Washstand with Mirror](https://hfs.org.uk/product/vintage-painted-oak-washstand-with-mirror/): This is most likely an Antique washstand that has been upcycled over the years. It has a lovely, aged paint finish in a soft ecru/ off white which compliments the aged brass handles and the original oak top. You have added details of the barley twisted legs and the upstand detail with the oval mirror. An aged paint effect has been done on the beveled edge of the mirror. The unit consists of two small drawers, with two cupboard doors underneath, while the cupboard is spacious, the base may need to be reinforced for storage of heavy items. Dimensions: H92.5cm to top / H129cm to top of upstand - W107cm - D44cm. Drawers W41cm - D31cm - H9cm. Cupboard W97cm - D33cm - H35cm. Condition:  As with any vintage piece it does show signs of its age, scuffs to the surface and small areas of the legs, some of which is intentional in the pain finish, there are however both water marks and cup rings to the oak surface. Condition:  As with any vintage piece it does show signs of its age, scuffs to the surface and small areas of the legs with one leg missing a section of varnish (top back leg), with it being a tripod table, all fixings are solid and secure but some wobble/movement. It has a lift lid with step storage inside and the pens and pencil groove behind the lid. The chair has a metal frame with ply seat pad and back attached with rivets. - [Glazed Mid Century Bookcase](https://hfs.org.uk/product/glazed-mid-century-bookcase/): This is a simple Glazed bookcase in a dark wood stain, finished with polish. It is similar to the mid-century designs from Herbert Gibbs, or the barrister units by Minty of Oxford. It has two adjustable shelves with three adjustment options. Two glazed doors that slide smoothly and remove for cleaning. Dimensions: H 100cm  W91.5cm  D29.5cm. Condition: The main body of the piece is still in good structural condition with minimal scuffs and age. The corners however did have knock damage and have had to be wood filled and recoloured with stain pens, this is noticeable up close and may need some more skilled work with materials our charity didn't have. It is a solid Oak framed and backed mirror with hardware to either hang on the wall or with the weight of the oak, please see back of mirror in photos, to rest on a mantel piece. Every aspect of the design has been considered right down to the wooden trim on the glass shelves. It is the perfect balance of functional storage with 3 drawers with inserts from the classic dining room sideboard and the double and single door cupboards below with shelves. Then the top section allows a stylish area to showcase your collections, with low voltage downlighters to highlight your favourite pieces, each of the 6 shelves are adjustable with the teak wood trim finishing the design. The teak has the varying shades from a warm golden finish backing the display section and the front of the drawers to the richer cherry teak added to the details in the doors and inserts for the shelves. The wood also then looks highlighted by the down lighters, celebrating those golden tones, or the grain still looking good with the lights off. Dimensions: H196cm W135.5cm D49cm. Depth of the top of the unit 35cm and the height of the base cupboard and drawers 81.5cm Condition: There are a few marks of wear to the piece, all of which photographed/ described. There has been damage to the top of the base previously when removing the top section and has a large scratch running under the top section however you will see small sections of this appear from under which are photographed. There is then a small mark on the front of one of the doors and the final photo shows the wear and tear inside the cupboards. - [Antique Oak Chest Of Drawers With Vanity](https://hfs.org.uk/product/antique-oak-chest-of-drawers-with-vanity/): This is an elegant piece with a simplicity to its design. It is a solid oak chest of drawers meet vanity with beautiful turned details on the feet and the uprights holding the mildly foxed mirror, the piece also has a gorgeous warmth and grain to the oak. Featuring four good sized drawers with original metal handles these are graduated in size from a depth of 13cm to 15.5cm to 20cm. In excellent restored condition, there are lots of polished in marks and blemishes as to be expected which all add to the vintage appeal of the piece with a couple of water marks that could be restored further, however there are signs that this piece has been stripped and sanded back from a cream paint finish as some signs still visible in the drawer recesses  and mildly in the grain on the sides of the chest. Dimensions: H142cm with Mirror , without 78cm W107cm D51cm.  Condition: Item is in good condition for its age and has been restored by previous owner taking it from a cream painted finish back to original oak. Small areas are visible of this in the drawer recesses and then in the side of the piece where the grain is a little deeper. There are some marks to the top with water marks, however the photo showing a gloss finish to the surface has mostly now come off, small residual amounts only. Photos have been taken of these areas. The top of the largest table had bad damage to the varnish so has been removed, sanded and waxed. Rest of the tables have been left with original varnish and in good condition. Dimensions: LRG - H 47.5cm, L 49cm, D 33cm / SML - H 42cm, L 28cm, D 25cm Condition: They are a good solid pair of tables, however see description for more info. The top of the largest table had bad damage to the varnish so has been removed, sanded and waxed. - [Vintage Decorative Mahogany Sideboard](https://hfs.org.uk/product/vintage-decorative-mahogany-sideboard/): This piece has unusual character, with multiple mirrored drawers, sliding door cubby holes and a double door small cupboard section. It has ornate wooden carving, of which the top section is removable, bevelled mirror glass is used at the back of each shelf and front of each door and drawer which reflects the light around the room. All hinges and door handles are metal, and the design features of this unit are from the Victorian period. Dimensions: H162cm L38.5cm W90cm. Condition: As photographed there is some damage to the mirrored glass on two drawers, a small section of wood carving is split, and a small section of beading around a mirrored pain is missing. - [Mid Century Parker Knoll Teak Wall Unit](https://hfs.org.uk/product/mid-century-parker-knoll-teak-wall-unit/): This is a Mid-Century piece by Nathan from their iconic Squares range dating from the mid-1970s. A solid long-lasting item that is more unusual to find with its four drawers still with the original organiser in one. It also consists of 2 shelves, 1 adjustable, that provide good height options for books, records and displays and under the four drawers is a double door cupboard with 1 half width shelf. The original lighting is in place but as the electrical wires do not pass PAT testing these have been cut and would need to be re-wired. Dimensions: H193cm – D35cm – W102cm Condition: The unit is in overall in good condition however it is a used vintage piece and does show some signs of wear to the wood, there is a water mark/ drink ring and some scuffs and dents to the edge design, photos have been taken of these areas. - [Vintage Welsh Dresser/ Kitchen Hutch](https://hfs.org.uk/product/vintage-welsh-dresser-kitchen-hutch/): This small Welsch dresser has lots of character and charm from its loved use over the years. Small but perfectly formed it is all one unit, a Mahogany-stained oak, with a tongue & Groove back that two shelves sit against and finished with a bevelled crown moulding. There is a spacious cupboard for storage with removable shelf, this cupboard has two snibs to the left door and locks with working key on the right door. Dimensions: W94.5cm – D Top 23.5cm, Base 39cm – H152, Ground clearance H26cm, Cupboard H58cm, Top with shelves H66cm. Condition:  This is an antique piece and as such shows its years of use. Please note in the picture the finish of the piece, the stain has many scratches within it, the left side appears to have had a section rubbed with acetone, removing the dark stain.
