This is a Mid-Century piece by Herbert E Gibbs, a brand that has style and function in perfect balance. The craftsmanship has a beautiful quality, and the unit consists of a fall-front writing desk with pigeonholes for organization, the two horizontal sections are removable.
Below there is a single drawer then sliding glass doors with a single adjustable (3 options) shelve for books, display items or mini drinks cabinet.
The teak is a warm honey tone and therefore compliments any interior with that notable mid-century aesthetic. It is a solid long-lasting piece for your home.
Condition: The unit is in overall in good condition however it is a used vintage piece and does show some signs of wear to the wood, there are scuffs/shallow scratches in areas of the teak and a small chip at the back top of the bureau. The wood was dry so has simply had a nourishing oil rubbed in.
