Old Charm Oak Blanket Box Jaycee Mostyn of Rehill

Still with its makers label of Mostyn of Redhill, they specialised in good quality antique Jacobean designs. Mostly using reproduction high- quality Oak and Ask to produce linenfolds, panelled cabinets, blanket boxes, bookcases and coffers, and featuring decorative carving to outside. This was mainly through the 1980’s.

This piece does look like the original lid has been replaced with a sympathetic oak wooden top, oiled not stained to match the box, but instead a feature with the decorative metal hinges in a Jacobean style.

Dimensions: H 50cm – W 90cm – D 42.5cm – Internal – H 36.5cm – W 83cm – D 37cm – Lid opening D 35cm.
