We are pleased to welcome Grace Latter to the HFS team as our new Partnerships Officer.
This newly created role reflects our ambition to work more closely with businesses, public sector organisations and community partners across Hastings and Rother.
HFS has been supporting local people since 1988, helping households access affordable furniture and household essentials while preventing good-quality items from going to waste. As demand for our services continues to grow, partnerships are becoming an increasingly important part of how we create impact within our community.
Grace will be leading on the development of new partnerships that support both people and the environment. This includes working with local employers, businesses and organisations that want to make a positive difference in Hastings and Rother through practical, measurable action.
Many organisations are looking for meaningful ways to support their local communities, reduce waste and demonstrate their environmental and social commitments. Grace will be helping partners connect these ambitions with the work HFS delivers every day.
The role will also focus on developing opportunities for businesses to support furniture reuse, tackle furniture poverty and contribute to a more circular local economy. Whether through funding, volunteering, skills sharing or other forms of collaboration, partnerships can help extend the reach and impact of HFS across the area.
Grace said:
“What appealed to me about HFS is that the impact is so tangible. Every partnership has the potential to support local people, reduce waste and create positive change within the community. I’m looking forward to building relationships with organisations that want to be part of that.”
Over the coming months, Grace will be meeting businesses and organisations across Hastings and Rother to explore new ways of working together.
If you would like to find out more about partnering with HFS, we’d love to hear from you.
